A small idea that developed into a viral film viewed by over 35 million people. Made for PlayStation ahead of the UK launch of PS4, For The Players Since ’95 plays on the nostalgia gamers share for all the times spent playing memorable titles. It opens, of course, with that start-up sound, then a single Steadicam move carries us through four interlocking eras.
It begins in an inner-city British bedroom in 1995, which transforms around the camera as the years roll by, each period placing the cast in a time relating to a different version of the console, from the original PlayStation to PS4. The décor, fashion, hairstyles, phones and London skyline all change with it, with hidden references for fans to spot in every corner, all set to music by GoodBlood.
